We need to buy Brentford’s scout
Think they bought Benrahma & Maupay from France, Watkins from Exeter, Toney from Peterborough & I think this other guy DaSilva from Arsenals reserves

https://www.claretandhugh.info/net-spend-the-fables-fantasy-and-fact/

Hugh's site now responding to defend GSB as usual via the above. The link to the net spend table is only 2 years. They are focusing on the fact that West Ham net spend is only down 27 million from the season before are looks ok compared to others. Talk about searching for a stat to fit the narrative of "GSB being unfairly maligned and victims "?

Selective as usual. We are in the lowest 3 or 4 spenders last 2 seasons and ever since Pellegrini was sacked off.

You really have to look at net spend for the whole of their tenure. Not only is it relatively modest ( mid table ) but more importantly has been been spectacularly bad in the sense of being poorly invested.

Sullivan and Gold now the poorest of the poor in the Premier league it would seem? Sullivan's other businesses and Golds in the toilet too. They are trying to emulate the Icelandics?. West Ham took down billionaires via the financial meltdown and now with COVID supercharging GSB's abysmal, laughable transfer investment strategy etc they will hopefully start asap next year looking for a way out. They are a busted flush but no doubt will hang around like a bad smell for a while.

The main ‘situation’ is that the dead hand of these clowns is on the hand brake of this club keeping us wallowing achieving nothing while enriching them personally
They have nothing to offer for the future & need to go.
Yesterday if possible
#GSB OUT

Re: No need for a Jan Transfer Thread - GSB more skint than ever
Apparently in a tough financial situation but Benrahma's transfer will be covered with money we got for Diangana and we already know we'll be getting 25m for Haller. Anderson and Lanzini/Yarmo will be leaving as well most likely. Wage bill dropped drastically since few seasons ago. But we have no money..

GSB have to go, because sooner or later they will get us relegated, but who will buy a club with a leased ground and purported debts owed on previous signings, and also at their ridiculous valuation?

Re: No need for a Jan Transfer Thread - GSB more skint than ever
You probably aren't being too cynical there, fraser. I think it could well be the case they are now going to spend as little as poss and just wait to sell. OR cash in on Rice at some point ans use that dough for players (or some of it)

Happy Christmas to you and yours.

There wouldn't be a need to spend more if Haller was anything like worth what we paid for him.

If we can get a left back we could play a flat back four which would be a good start

AKA ERNIE 8:43 Tue Dec 22

Benrahma installments are due next transfer window. 4m loan fee in total for this season.

We Intend to be active this window, despite what you may think or read on news now.

Zinchenko getting a run out for Man City tonight at Arsenal in the League Cup
Supposedly one we are looking at as a left wing back / left back though think they are looking at SELLING rather than loaning.
